Sontaron (Sharclon Heresy miniatures) painted up!

Just had a blast painting these Sharclons from Heresy miniatures; thanks Pockets! They were lovely to paint, especially the faces.

After spending such a long time on my rough and worn Chaos Bikers, it was a pleasure to try something clean and well maintained.

Since seeing Dan's Necrons a few months ago with their high-contrast highlight scheme, I've wanted to try something similar. It takes a deceptively long amount of time to do, but I'm pleased with the 'Tron' effect in the end.

When it came to basing them I brought out something special I'd been saving, and used some sand I collected from Death Valley near Las Vegas about 7 years ago.

Now I just need to find a way of wangling them into a Necromunda or Rogue Trader Scenario...

Heresy Minotaur "Manbane", CSM Terminator Lord with lightning claws

On Saturday I went to Hammerhead in Nottinghamshire for the first time and spent a lot of money on little plastic and metal men. Yesterday I spent most of the day painting this miniature from Heresy, for use in our Heroscape games. I might fiddle with the rust and his nose a bit more, but he is mostly finished. I want to get on to painting Heresy Dr Who miniatures next to go with the Daleks.

The tiles were made from plasticard.

I also gave this fella a lick of paint. As he was a bad cast, I went with the idea that it was the corroded suit of a Nurgle follower. I tried a bronze verdigris colour scheme, it was an experiment more than anything.
